New Additions to Fishnet Variations
Fishnet Variations is a series of images taken in the summer of 2004, when I traveled to fishing marinas around the Puget Sound region in search of compelling compositions of textures and colors in the piles of nets, floats, rings, tarps and other gear used by net fishermen.
Now, in January 2005, we've just had ten days of freezing temperatures, snow, and ice on the roads. While in Bellingham for an appointment, I stopped at the marina to check the net piles. Although I didn't have my Nikon D-1X with me, my Sony captured the snow on the nets surprisingly well. Here are a couple of examples.

Wanted! Gallery or exhibition opportunity for the Rush Hour series.Rush Hour is a series of over 200 photographs selected from a one-week shoot of about 4,000 images on the freeways of the metropolitan Seattle area. Together the photos document what commuters and other drivers experience during the morning and afternoon rush hour periods... construction, accidents, weather conditions and drivers doing what they do, including singing, talking on cell phones, reading, giving a friendly wave to the photographer, or scowling. Like it or not, this is something most western Washington residents experience either on a daily basis or at least once in a while. I believe these photos represent a significant slice of our lives, and thus will be of interest, especially in the Seattle area. I am seeking an opportunity to exhibit some of the images in this series. If you are interested or have suggestions, please contact me.
