Robert Demar, photographic assignments for real estate, property owners, public lands, tourism projects and documentary studies

Real estate – I’ve worked with local realtors since 1995. My images are seen on the covers and pages of real estate magazines and brochures, including Christie’s Great Estates, Windermere Premier Properties and the Architectural Digest. A portfolio is available on request.
Property owners – I’ve worked with owners of private and commercial properties, such as Wildwood Manner B&B, Lakedale Resort and the Westcott Bay Oyster Farm to photograph both interiors and exteriors. The images are used on websites and for many types of printed matter.
Public lands – I was awarded the cover shot and several interior images for the National Park Service “General Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement” for the San Juan Island National Historical Park.
Tourism projects – In addition to providing an on-going series of images used by the San Juan Island Visitors Bureau and other local business to promote tourism, I have also completed assignments for news media, including the New York Times, Escapes.
Documentary studies – In addition to my personal documentary subjects, I have conducted a two-year study of the Sound Transit express busses enroute on the freeways of Puget Sound during rush hour traffic. My assignment was to photograph rolling stock on each of the routes during two separate one-week time periods.
To produce the highest quality images, I use top-rated digital SLR cameras, 12 mega pixel resolution or more, with an assortment of wide angle to telephoto lenses, each with vibration reduction.

Photographic services provided by Robert Demar

A selection of images is provided, according to the customer’s needs.
Image resolution will be sufficiently high to allow cropping and resizing for printed media.
Unlimited use of all images is allowed for both printed media and the web, unless otherwise determined by the client and photographer.
For every job, a proof sheet is provided with the CD for immediate reference to its content.
Quick turn around time. Once the shoot is accomplished, I generally supply the images on a CD within 24 hours.

Rates for freelance photography by Robert Demar

Basic fee is $50 per hour.
This rate is charged for actual time, including the shoot and computer processing.
Travel time to the job is not charged for San Juan Island photography.
Travel time and expenses will be added to the basic fee for locations other than San Juan Island.
I will gladly quote rates for specific locations and requirements or, if required, submit a proposal for any suitable assignment.
